An excellent book on what Michigan is and how it got that way

This college text has 41 chapters by different experts on the geology, natural history, native american cultures, early development, industry and agriculture of Michigan. It is an excellent resource. I bought it to help me understand the soils and landforms I work with in Michigan. I learned a lot about a diverse state. I recommend it highly to anyone interested in the natural history of Michigan. There is a lavish use of figures, maps and photographs that makes the reading easy.

Great Book for Everyone with Environmental and Geologic Interests in Michigan

I am a faculty member in a geology department in a university in Michigan. This book provides a wealth of information of the geology, hydrology, landscape and more in this State. Full of great diagrams and photos and interesting information on specific geological settings across the State.

I was very satisfied with this book, as well as with the rushed delivery from the person I bought it from. The book itself isn't the most amazing thing in the world but as far as filling the text req't for my class, I would say it is absolutely perfect!
